Acid brick cleaning is not inherently bad for bricks, but it must be used selectively and correctly. Inappropriate acid use or aggressive application can cause damage. Where acid-based cleaning is required — such as for heavy carbon staining or cement contamination — it is applied at controlled dilutions, neutralised thoroughly, and only used where assessment confirms it is necessary.
