Steam cleaning may not be sufficient where staining is deeply ingrained, such as black carbon staining, long-term atmospheric pollution or contamination bonded within the brick pores. In these situations, steam cleaning alone may improve appearance but will not fully release the staining. Chemical-assisted brick cleaning allows the contamination to be safely broken down before controlled rinsing.
